Princeton - Elizabeth J. VanKammen (Betty), 91 of Princeton, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Gold Water Care Facility. She was a beloved mother, friend, and community member who will be dearly missed.
Born and raised in Princeton, to the late Herbert and Oletha (McIntyre) Elliott on June 22, 1933. Betty was a proud graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1957. She dedicated many years of her career to A&P Grocery Store and later worked at Harper Wyman. Beyond her professional life, she was an active member of the Elks Club and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPO).
Betty had a deep love for nature and the outdoors. She found joy in gardening, planting, birdwatching, and arranging flowers. Her passion for the beauty of the natural world was evident in all she did.
Above all, Betty cherished her family. She lovingly raised her son, Terry and two daughters Paula and Bobbie. Her warmth, kindness, and love will forever remain in the hearts
