John was born in Princeton, IL, on September 27, 1956 to the late Lawrence Raymond and Emiline (Seiz) Welsh. He graduated from Princeton High School, Class of 1974.
John married Jeannie Ranae Harris on July 6, 2009 in Sheffield, IL. Throughout his life, he took on many roles, working as a truck driver, produce stand operator, farm worker, and construction worker. Eventually, he combined all his skills to become a handyman, truly embodying the term "jack of all trades."
John was a devoted member of Dover Bible Church. He found joy in many hobbies, including fishing, camping, hunting, gardening, collecting trinkets, and rug making. He also loved visiting flea markets and car shows. Above all, he had a generous heart, always willing to help others and devotedly serving the Lord.
