Winfred (Fred) Holdcraft Born: June 5, 1937 Died: August 16, 2024 Abundant love, laughter, respect and heartfelt sadness accompanied our most treasured patriarch, Winfred (Fred) Holdcraft as he passed away on August 16, 2024. Services will be held at Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle on August 21. The visitation will be 11am-1:30pm, followed by a brief funeral service. Burial and graveside services with full military rites provided b the LaSalle/Oglesby Veteran's Memorial Group will be at Spring Valley Memorial Cemetery immediately after. Fellowship will be at the American Legion, Oglesby for all who care to gather with us and share memories after the graveside services. Winfred was born June 5, 1937 to Everett and Olga (Burnell) Holdcraft in Washington, IL. The family later moved to the small town of Utica and that became the family home. Winfred belonged to the generation of able-bodied men who knew it was their duty to "do their service". He chose the Marine Corps. He proudly served
