Dr. Ronald A. Marty, D.C. Born: July 20, 1933 in Davenport, IA Died: August 9, 2024 in Princeton, IL Dr. Ronald A. Marty, 91, of Spring Valley, passed away on August 9, 2024, at OSF St. Clare Medical Center in Princeton, following a short illness. A private family service will be held at a later date, followed by graveside military honors. The Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, is honored to be assisting Ronald's family at this time. Ron was born on July 20, 1933, to Dr. Ernest G. Marty Sr. and Olive (Norberg) Marty in Davenport, Iowa. He grew up in Spring Valley, where he attended Grant Elementary School and Hall High School, graduating in 1951. While at Hall, he was elected to the National Honor Society and was also captain of the varsity basketball team. He then went to LPO Junior College, graduating in 1953. Upon graduation from LPO, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1954-56. After finishing boot camp, he was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA in the San Die
