Elizabeth "Lib" L. Naffziger Born: November 18, 1933 in Dallas, NC Died: June 28, 2024 in Sterling, IL Elizabeth "Lib" L. Naffziger, 90, of Walnut, IL, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL surrounded by loved ones. Lib was born on November 18, 1933 in Dallas, NC, the daughter of Richard and Alma (Whitesides) Long. She attended Wingate University on a basketball scholarship, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Winthrop University, and graduated from Appalachian State University with her Master's in English. She moved to Princeton shortly after graduation to teach at Princeton High School. Lib met Phillip Naffziger in Princeton and they married on August 17, 1958 in Charlotte, NC. They have four children: Susan, Paula, Bill and Beth. After raising her children Lib went back to school at the age of 50 and became a Certified Public Account. She worked as an accountant for Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon for 18 years prior to her retireme
